NEWP Fox-Wisconsin Heritage Paddle: East River to GB Marina

NEWP sponsored event, please visit for updates and information. Be certain to click the 'Count me In' blue button when you visit.

Although this page is not yet fully updated at time of posting this event, it appears this will be about a 7 mile paddle (assuming we are ending at the marina on Bay Beach road). So, majority of this paddle will be on the East river, and the last few minutes traveling on the Fox.

If you have not yet paddled on the East river, it is a decent paddle. I can only speak from personal experience from a paddle last year, the water conditions between Baird's Creek to downtown GB.. let's just say there were a few bags of trash along the way and I collected 6 various sized balls (footballs/baseballs/soccer). Otherwise, relaxing and no water traffic on this stretch.

**Yes, the date for this is on the 16th, it is listed incorrectly on the NEWP page (once again.. I will update these NEWP paddles if needed).**

As usual, there is a $10 fee for all NEWP paddles. To expedite registration, please complete the ACA membership/waver forms prior to the event - and present this to the NEWP staff. Thanks

THIS should be interesting! Depending on water conditions, I may just bike the trail along the river and take pictures....could get some nice pics, especially from the bridges . If anyone wants to bike this instead of paddling, or do the paddle and then ride AFTER, I'm game for leading a ride.
