Introduction
I am a roving futurologist currently focussed on matching technical solutions to the needs of communitarians. Particularly interested in the FLOSS ecosystem, geolocation and UI design.
Are you a developer or entrepreneur/client or investor or just someone interested in the topic?
As a futurologist I can be a broker between the client, the developer and other enablers. From a systems theory perspective I am concerned with the ecosystem which enables this ongoing relationship.
Interested in iPhone, Android, Blackberry, Win Mobile, Symbian Or All Apps?
As a technologist am interested in all platforms, but from an ethical perspective am interested most in Android or FLOSS which could power any platform.
Whats your aim of joining this group?
To identify apps which let conservationists get fieldwork done.
What do you bring to this group?
A knowledge of built and natural environment conservationist fieldwork/casework. An understanding of the FLOSS ecosystem. A design background.

Hi Andrew, a very warm welcome to you from everyone at the School! I am resonating with your investigation into open source urban regeneration, I'd love to find out more from you about this. One of our projects is a Commons in Action event on Creating and Sustaining Urban Spaces for the People by the People some time in Dec2011/Jan2012
