Appy Hour @ TESLA May 21st

Our next Appy Hour is happening on Wednesday, May 21st from 6-8pm!

If you have an app that you'd like to show off or have listed in an email out to the group, email me. The earlier you get in touch the sooner I can showcase you and your app.

A big thank you to Tesla for hosting this month's Appy Hour in their South Lake Union store! Learn more about these amazing electric cars and the company behind them - About Tesla.

If you're new, here is what we Appy Hour is all about:

Appy Hour - The Happy Hour for App Developers & Entrepreneurs (and hAPPY people).

As always, bring your projects, stories, and ideas about current, past, and future projects. There is a ton of talent and development in Seattle and it's always cool to see what everyone is up to :)

There will of course be beer and food.

Hacking a Tesla is the holy grail of hackathons. Will they provide one to hack? #lol ;)

The Model S has a port on the dashboard, that lets you plug into the cars onboard ethernet network, with a RJ45.
Its pretty much wired up like a mid 90's unix network. NFS, X11 etc. Open Webserver on console computers IP address. /nowplaying.png is your album art. FYI There is some sort of a network alert watchdog, that sends an email to the cars owner when you do certain things... Happy Hacking...

The more I look at Tesla, the more I **really** want to trade in my gas enabled car to get one, just to hack the heck out of it. I'd wait for the model X, though, coming early next year.

However, I did learn that Tesla frowns at this. The thing runs Ubuntu! Source - http://news.softpedia...
