Sou professor de linguas semi-aposentado. Semi-retired language teacher (Spanish, English, Portuguese, Italian). I've also worked in import-export between the U.S. and Latin America.

Native English speaker. Pretty good in Portuguese, for a gringo.

San Diego, California, USA, & Leme, Rio de Janeiro, Brasil. Sometimes in Mexico, also!

I have always enjoyed learning new languages and experiencing cultures different from my own. Desde jovem eu sempre gostei de aprender novos idiomas e experimentar culturas diferentes do que a minha.

That would be awesome!!! But I'm leaving tomorrow morning to go to Mexico :( ill make it to the next meetup in San Diego for sure! My Portuguse sucks but I can't wait to get better ! I just put my name on a hotel waiting list for the world cup

Hi Tom! I'm home from college for the summer and I'd really like to find somewhere to practice speaking Portuguese, or someone to practice with. I noticed your post saying the group would not be meeting again until September. But I have to go back to school in mid-August. Do you have any suggestions as to where I could find another place to practice? Or if there's any possibility of the group re-starting meetings for the summer?
