I aggree with Doug, I enjoy everyone in the class, it is a real delightful group. Thanks Kim for the wonderful tabbouleh.
I also felt a little at a loss , it was hard to keep going when students were talking amongst eachother. I wasn't able to cover all the material I had prepared ( which I realised was too much for a 2h class). I realise everyone is busy , but all will benefit more if homework is done and especially review of what is covered in class. This week we were not able to cover writing , so next week we will start with that. Also I wanted to see if we should try and have the session 3h with a break in the middle, let me know what you think. The price would be the same for this group. I think we will be able to advance faster. Also,it will be easier if we stick to waht we are learning at the moment and build up on that.As for my son, it is my fault, I asked him to take pictures of the class to post on the website .I apologize.

I love this class and am excited about it, but today was a disappointment because a) we the students didn't do our part to prepare, and thus the teacher wasn't able to execute the lesson plan the way she had intended, and b) too many people were doing whatever they wanted to do and thus creating distractions. I think that a laid back class like today's is fine every so often, but in general I hope it'll remain focused, like it was last week, because that's the only way to make any real progress with the language. I liked how the teacher wasn't afraid to tell us that we should have prepared more -- she was absolutely right. However, I wish her younger child would behave better in the future and thus not compete for our attention while she is trying to teach.
