So, most of us have a lot of data and want to do something with it. This meetup will focus on techniques for getting the most from your data.
Our host this time is OkCupid Labs, who kind of are experts on this stuff. I'm excited about this one!
Lets avoid the trap of just talking about Hadoop + map reduce on this one.
A lot of people attending. No information about the event. No response from the organizers. This sounds dangerous.
We don't know who will be speaking, but here is some information on the people at OkCupid Labs:

Talks are really just spur of the moment lightning-style, and it's mostly conversation based (rather than dedicated, meetup-long presentations)
This month has NO FORMAL TALKS. There are several people attending that do data collection and analysis for various companies, but this will definitely fal into the "Open Space" model rather than a formal presentation.
Howdy guys I'm on the data team from Yammer and I'd be more than happy to give a lightning talk about some of our philosophies and talk about our systems and tools. EVERYONE SHOW UP AND GET EXCITED!
So you have collected some data and Archcamp is overbooked, now what?
Come by the Python Pub night! I'll buy you a beer. It's cool though, I was outside OKCupid last Tuesday at 7pm waiting for Archcamp, approximately the same point I doubled-booked the pub night.
