GENERAL RULES

To all Members we should abide by these Rules:
Members must respect and behave in a manner that does not offend or create an unpleasant environment for other members. This club is formed to create a comfortable setting for all and any negative comments related to age, race, sexual orientation, or religion are not welcome and will not be tolerated under any circumstances. Be polite and considerate to all members, and welcoming to new members.

Your organizer has the right to remove / ban members that post unpleasant material on the site or cause other members to feel at risk when attending meetings.

There is a $2.00 per person per event fee. We will have some events that require us to purchase tickets (ie. concerts, etc) this is not part of the per event dues. The dues cover being a member of the group. We have cost and this covers the organizers expenses. Not negotiable.

Members who have been marked as a No Show 3 or more times will be removed from this group. Members who have been marked as a No Show 6 or more times will be banned.

Should your plans change, you should update your RSVP immediately. Once you’ve RSVP’d for an event, regardless of how far in advance of the event, you are expected to attend that event or update your RSVP in advance of the event. This does not mean using your IPhone to change your status 30 minutes after the event has started. Updating your RSVP well in advance of the event, and NOT at the last minute or day of, allows someone from the wait list to attend.

Please do not RSVP for every event on the calendar in an attempt to save a spot just in case you feel like going. It is not fair to the other members to see someone constantly RSVP “Yes” and then cancel the week or day of the event. Members who abuse this will be removed from the group. Our members are very busy and plan the events they are interested in attending. Some of our members have children, some travel for work, many of us belong to other groups and need to plan well in advance. So someone constantly cancelling the last minute is not appropriate.

If you are late and / or miss a pre-paid event, there will be NO REFUNDS. Please allow yourself time for travel delays and parking.

All members attending an event at a restaurant should plan to purchase food and / or beverage, and the cost of your food and beverage plus 25% (19% tip + 6.25% taxes), unless the Lead Organizer and / or Assistant Organizers have posted different instructions for a particular event. Please round up when figuring your bill- the servers really do appreciate an extra few dollars! Always have cash on hand and don’t expect the bill will be split by individual checks.

When an event requires reservation and a table is reserved members are expected to show. These events are book well in advanced and the organizer is NOT going to be financially responsible for NO SHOWS. This has already happened. These events will be closed to RSVP’s 2 days prior to the event and status will not be open for you to change your RSVP. If you do not show this will be considered a no show. After 3 no shows members will be removed.

The Organizers are not responsible for providing transportation for members or their guests to events. Events are organized in various areas and may or may not be T-accessible.

If you have any questions or comments about an event or activity of the group after reading all the information about it, please direct your question(s) or comment(s) to the organizer who is listed as the host of the particular event. DO NOT contact the Lead Organizer about the activity or event UNLESS She is listed as the host for it.

The Lead Organizer and Assistant Organizers volunteer to organize events and are not paid or compensated in any way. Often they are spending their own money to get an event or activity going, and are certainly investing their own time making reservations, confirming plans, updating postings, researching events in the area, etc. They are also the ones that are waiting for members at the events. So when we have NO Shows to events keep in mind that they have arrived early, waited for members to show, paid for parking, etc. Let’s show them that we care and Remember to thank the Organizer or AO. Without our organizers, we would have no events and thus no group. They’ve stepped up to make this group fun with a wide range of events!

ALL Members must have a recent (within 2 years) profile photo of themselves in which we can clearly see the member’s face. Full shots of you ¼ mile away on the beach are not suitable. We require clear headshots not just for safety and security, but also so that members can recognize you at events.

Finally, we love to get ideas for our members and most of the time these will turn into an event. So when looking at the calendar and choosing the events that you are interested in keep this in mind. Most of us live in the area and might know the owner of a local restaurant, comedy club, pool hall etc. So if you are not interested in a particular event then just RSVP NO. Keep any negative comments to yourself. We want to appeal to every ones taste and interest. Of course productive feedback after an event that you have attended is welcome.
