Beginner Backpack Trip into a Wilderness Area near Sedona
This is an in-and-out five mile (ten miles total) beginner backpack trip in a wilderness area near Sedona at an elevation of 4100 feet. The road is paved to the trailhead. The trail has very little elevation gain or loss for the first 4.5 miles. We will spend the day along the creek and hike the last half mile to camp in the late afternoon. The last half mile is up a ridge with almost 500 feet of elevation gain. We will hike out Sunday morning and have lunch in Sedona. We will be home by mid-afternoon Sunday. More details to follow.
