Introduction
Hi everyone, I actually live near Chicago but visit family from time to time out in Gilbert and Flagstaff. I'd like to some backpacking and figured this was the best way to do it. I belong to a couple backpacking meetup groups in the Chicago.
What cool backpacking trips have you done recently?
I just started this past year but Did North Manitou Island in Michigan and The Jordan River Pathway in Michigan. Actually had to stay an extra day on the Island as the winds were too high to bring the Ferry across the Lake.
What's your very favorite piece of gear?
I like my pocket rocket stove.
Tell us about your backpacking experience?
A lot of camping but just the 2 trips above.

Hey Laura,
I grew up in Lombard but haven't been there since I graduated H.S. in '78. I've lived in Az for 25 yrs. I live in Show Low but we have a home in Mesa as well. I'm just getting back into backpacking after many years of raising kids and other interests. My other major interest is riding a motorcycle, beautiful place Arizona is. Let me know when you get out west and maybe we can do some hiking together! -
