Great Meetup! The Satoshi Square app seemed to work well but there was some concern whether it actually increased trading or not. I think we should continue to use it at the next couple events and see how it goes. It would be good to also have a whiteboard on hand to display the app URL and current prices from the top online exchanges.

That leads to another idea I had to create a paper wallet that we can use to collect donations for the purchase of things like a whiteboard, printer, monitor, or anything else we might need as these meetups grow in participants.

    Cheers!

Tim, I was discussing with other participants and the consensus seems to be that a white board, marker, eraser and an easel would be a good thing to have for both the meetups and exchange events. So please do obtain them and we will ask for donations once you have a bitcoin receiving address.

Hey everyone! It was great seeing some fellow Bitcoin enthusiast yesterday, glad to see the AZ Bitcoin community growing. It was my first meeting and was a little confused to how the Satoshi Square format worked until someone mentioned we had to go to the buttonwood website to place bids and asks orders about thirty minutes into the meeting. Maybe at the start of the next meeting we can have an introduction to how the format works for any newcomers. Also, i know this wasn't anyone's intention but the meeting didn't feel to newbie friendly at first, maybe we can have some introductions of ourselves so we can all get to know each other. Just my two satoshi's.

Hi Pedro, it was good meeting you. Thanks for the suggestions. For the meetings more than about 12 people, I think the introductions may be a bit time consuming, but we can certainly have a bit more general introduction and instructions at the start of the exchange meetings, TFMOX, in the future.

You are referring to the weekend of the 21st, not this coming, right?

I'm referring to this event, listed on September 21st, unable to attend. I will be in state this weekend, but I don't see any events listed for the group for this weekend.
