All of the past climbs since 2008 were in Upstate New York - Adirondacks; college rock gym and various outdoor locations. Recently completed the AMC McDowell Sven Wall / Little Granite Mountain and Grad Climb at the Praying Monk. Very interested in exploring other new climbing sites in AZ. I have since climbed at Pinnacle Peak, Queen Creek Canyon, Jack's Canyon,Watson Lake (Prescott), Mt. Lemmon, and The Overlook (Sedona). Very interested in exploring other new climbing sites in AZ.
Yes. Completed college level Rock 1 and 2 climbing courses in 2009 while on faculty / staff at Upstate New York University. These courses just covered the basics. To-date have completed the AMC ORC Spring 2012 course which also covered basic + emergency situations and escaping the belay. In the Fall 2015 also completed Anchors and Lead Climbing schools.
Do not know at this time. However, I have been a volunteer instructor during the Basic Climbing School sessions.
A real urban cowboy - originally from New York City. Through college and three careers did not do much climbing; some hiking. Introduced to rock climbing in 2008 and have been climbing indoors and outdoors ever since. Love to hike and climb.
