U.S. Marshals Service

Morning Speaker:
Our speaker is a U.S. Marshal in the Tucson area who has worked with the U.S. Witness Security Program (WITSEC), although he cannot reveal details, for obvious reasons! He will discuss the role of the U.S. Marshals, how they apprehend fugitives, and protect prisoners during high-threat trials. He is currently on the US Marshals’ violent offender task force.

Afternoon Writing Workshop:
Practice writing, based on a prompt suggested by the speaker’s topic. For example, "You’re investigating a grisly homicide scene and you find your business card in the unknown victim’s pocket." Attendees can write solo or in a group, then share our masterpieces. Session includes a handout with info like writing contests, tutorials, and informative web sites. Join us!

Excellent info, good speaker. Hard to grasp the worldview of carrying a loaded .40 cal. Glock to a writer's meeting.
