This will be a shorter session than the previous classroom instruction (1-1/12 hours). I will cover the basics of night photography: focusing at night, determining settings, shooting stars as points, shooting star trails, etc.

There is no charge for this session -- I will be doing the talk for an astronomy club in Anthem, and they have kindly offered to open it to AZ Night Photographers as well!

I Googled the address and it says that it is the corner of Anthem and Independence Way. I am not familiar with the area at all. Is there a trick to finding this place, or is it pretty straight forward? Thanks!

The Anthem Civic building is very easy to find. From I-17, take exit to Anthem Way and head east into Anthem. You pass through the sign and water feature. It is the first RIGHT turn you can make. The building (a big blocky 2 story) is directly on your left.

As a member of the Desert Foothills Astronomy Club, I would like to welcome everyone to this session. My clubmembers and I am very happy that Beth will be leading this session on Night Photography. We will have a good crowd. Night photography benefits from a continuing doses of solid learning , and this will be one of them, for sure. We have a brand new facility, to enjoy as well. I think everyone will be glad they came. I look forward to seeing you all Saturday morning.

Hi Jay, Chris O'Connor is wondering if the building is easy to find. Any thoughts?
