The focus of this group is on the specialties of Travel Photography and Nature Photography. Arizona is a beautiful state with many areas of spectacular natural attractions that can long hold the attention of anyone with a camera. Our objective is to travel to many of those locations and capture images which will inspire others to visit Arizona so they, too, can enjoy the magnificent scenery, experience the exciting outdoor recreation, and appreciate the unique wildlife found here. In the process of exploring together all that Arizona has to offer, we also will seek ways to use our photos to promote our work and ourselves individually within the travel and tourism industry.

Members should have the desire and ability to travel anywhere in Arizona, in both urban and remote wilderness areas, be reasonably active and physically fit, have more than minimal knowledge and experience with a camera, and most importantly, be serious about photography. Advanced and professional photographers are especially welcome, but anyone with a real commitment to the art may join, regardless of experience. This is probably not for the vacation snap-shooter or beginner with a point-and-shoot, however.

“We had a light turnout for this event -- only Beverly, a friend of mine, Cindy, and I went to Flagstaff to hike Sunset Trail. It turned out cloudy and ultimately rained lightly in the afternoon, but we still got some good photos and had a great time!”
