I agree with AA Stahr completely. Very good meeting and I learned some additional information on SEO. Great job everyone!

The SEO Meeting was probably the BEST of recent meetings...very informative about the plug in and how to use it...I can see how to immediately put this info to use. Thanks!

Many thx to April, Maura and other contributors. As a newbie, I can't absorb it all; so, try to walk away with 1 or 2 things that will immediately benefit me. Success!

It will take several more meetings for me to start to remember everyone's name. Good stuff. Thanks to everyone that participated as I like to sponge up all other questions and apply it to my knowledge base. See you all at the next meeting. Byrd

The website looks fantastic!!! Wish I had not missed parts of the process (a couple of meetups), but still exciting to see start and finish! Just an FYI: the link to discussions works, the link to RSVP on meetup didn't work for me.

Trudi, I'm looking for the link that you found that isn't working. Can you show one of us on Thursday night?

This is exciting to remind me there is WP support and sharing locally. I am looking forward to getting into the flow, as I am getting excited about online marketing - finally! The learning curves have me pretty tense, but this group sounds fun and clearly directed. See you next Thursday.

Yes, there is a lot of local support and I do hope you will find this group to be helpful. Look forward to meeting you.

Where is a good place to get info on investigating a possible breach in my site? We only use Posts and do not have any commenting allowed on any page. Yesterday morning I received:

    From: WordPress <[masked]>
Subject: [Plasma Robotics] Please moderate: "2013 Recap"

A new trackback on the post "2013 Recap" is waiting for your approval
    http://www.plasmarobotics.org/about-us/2013-recap/

Website : sac hermes birkin pas cher (IP:[masked] , 90.100.136.219.broad.gz.gd.dynamic.163data.com.cn)
    ...

along with partial text & links to deal w/the comment. I rechecked the page and do not see a comment option and none of the students admit to temporarily enabling it (on purpose or by accident). That makes me wonder if there was a breach of some kind. Or is this due to something we did not fully lock down inside of WP and it is just not obvious?? Bruce

I think I found the answer. It seems that there is a WP setting we had neglected to disable (or someone enabled it and wont fess up). The setting to allow or not is under Settings > Discussions > uncheck “Allow link notifications from other blogs (pingbacks and trackbacks).” Ours was enabled but is now disabled.
