A good mix of people from bloggers to coders...the organizers were well-prepared and assured that everyone had chances to ask questions and offer comments. Nice demo via Google Hangouts on Air regarding a managed Wordpress hosting vendor.

Betsy, if I'm a half hour late, will it be easy to get into Axosoft? I want to avoid the terrible east-bound traffic from downtown.

Yes - won't be a problem. Come in through the center staircase (WP Meetup signs on the doors), and Axosoft will be unlocked.

Sorry for the delayed agenda / announcement — I've also been busy and preoccupied! However, I have tried several times in the past month to find someone to present on the subject of comment management, and specifically the DISQUS plugin / service. We will probably end up doing open forum, but I'd still love to have someone demo DISQUS and speak a bit about their experience with it.

Any volunteers? In any case, see you all Thursday!

I usually tell my clients it's a two edged sword for open comments and newsletters. they can be great for the company popularity, IF you never cancel, skip or stop providing the expected responsiveness. Miss two newsletters in a row and you've lost 2/3rds of your readers, miss two or three negative comments and watch what happens!

Good news - it looks like we'll have an engineer from WP Engine doing the demo for our hosting series tomorrow night. So if you've been curious about WP Engine, this is a must-attend meetup!

Sorry I won't be able to make this one. My 6 yo has a baseball game that night and the season is almost over. Don't want to miss any more of his games.

Probably won't be going to any North Valley stuff but welcome my high school buddy Becky Torres Garza!

I personally will not have time to organize this meeting this month. However, I promise that if nothing else happens, I will have an open forum and guarantee everyone will walk away learning something new. Bring questions, or topics you wish you knew more about.

The Business of Web Meetup last week at Cohoots was an open forum and it was extremely helpful and full of information. It was like crowd sourcing. I'm sure the North Phx./Scottsdale meeting will still be excellent because of the great minds that attend. Less organization may be a good thing.
