What's the most expensive part of snow skiing? The lodging! Well this weekend it is free if you can put up with me!
Okay, I have not skied since last year and that was the first time in 20 years!
I need some buddy's to watch me plant my face all over this Mountain for moral support! Please join me on Friday for a weekend of skiing/snowboarding!
You are welcome to stay at my place. I have room for 8 guest. 2 in one bedroom with queen bed, 2 on the queen sofa sleeper next to the fireplace, and 2 in the TV room futon. If I am in the other house by then I can sleep about 15.
I will separate us by couples or same sex so we can be comfortable.
If you are shy, you can also stay in town at one of the many lodges here in Show Low, Pinetop, or Lakeside, and join us at the lift on Saturday.
My place is small, 1100 sf but has separate rooms and 2 baths making room for 2 people per room. Those staying with me will lodge for free, just donate to the site if you can.
Guest can have pot luck meals at the house with me, or enjoy many of the restaurants along the way to the lifts. I have a full kitchen, outdoor gas grill, and crock pot. I will provide coffee, hot chocolate, and tea.
Lift tickets. (They have night skiing open on the 25th for only $22!) Lift tickets are $51.00 for a full day, and $57.00 for All Day/Night on Saturday ) They rent ski's and snowboards in town but not sure of the availability so please reserve ahead of time. I believe the Sports Chalet in Gilbert rents ski's and Snowboards. Please inform us if you know of rentals in the Phoenix area.
Can't ski? Take this opportunity to grab a lesson at the lodge. Schedules are posted on the site. http://sunriseskiparkaz.com/winter/lift-tickets
For comfort bring the following:
Ski Wear, Sleeping Bag, Pillow, Towel, Ski's, Sled or Snow Board, Food, and Beverage for yourself.
See you here in January. The Hot Chocolate and Warm Fire will be waiting for you when you get here!
Didn'tget on the list one time?
Due to the popularity of this event, I will post a pre January ski trip in December if the snow fall cooperates and offer it to those who are first in line and then the waiting list so that people interested in skiing will have the opportunity to see me splatter myself against a chair lift, tree, etc....
