You will need a Tonto pass for every 24 hours you will be there,,,Please bring fire wood.
Apache Lake was formed in 1927 when the Horse Mesa Dam was completed. Outstanding trout and warm-water fishing. Wet winters bring a profusion of spring flowers. This lake is set among sun-painted canyon walls, which form scenic backdrops to the lake itself.
Upper Burnt Corral is located about 5.5 miles from Roosevelt Dam. We have camped on Lower Burnt Corral in the past however this location offers better beach front options and a soothing cove to launch at.
