Dinner with "Job" Theme (Hour 1) and End-of-Life Options (Hour 2)

(Please update any changes to your RSVP so I can notify the restaurant. Thanks.)

(Hour 2 - 5:00 - 6:00 - added topic). We have a member who has a loved one actively dying and she asked for information about "options." So we will spend the second half of our time together on Saturday discussing options people have for end-of-life care.

(Hour 1    4:00-5:00) Over dinner, let's have a round-table discussion about jobs we have or have had. List all the jobs you've ever had. Describe the best and the worst one. Were you able to land your "dream" job or not? Still dreaming of landing that job? What would have to happen for you to get that job? What job would you recommend to a high schooler? Do you own a business? Tell us about that. Do you want to start a business? Tell us what it would be. We want to hear about failures and any lessons learned. Let's talk!

Elva, I had a charity thing this morning,,,went walking earlier and getting ready. Have a fun raising ball for Kim Colvert later this evening. I didn't realize your event started at 4 (thought it was 5)...have a new cell phone..no phone numbers in my memory so can't text you. Just letting you know I'll be there between 4:30 - 5:00.

Sorry to have to miss but I have a conflict. Coincidentally, re "job" theme, my office was located not too far from Candlelight and I had many lunches there during my career.

Is this time correct? Dinner in the middle of the afternoon?

Yes, Cheryl, they require all guests to eat. Sorry. That's standard any time you're using free meeting room at a restaurant unfortunately.

I have got around the required food thing at some restaurants where I did not care for the food menu by ordering a desert item and a drink. Never had any place complain. Not sure if that would help with avoiding gluten though. Totally clueless on what does or does not have it.

I think I may be too pooped out after the Ultimate Womens Expo. If I have any energy I will update my RSVP. I am doing my dream job now. Selling Real Estate and have been for 25 years! Would love to see ya'll. This is a great group!

It sounds like a great session. Next weekend, though, I will be participating in the Dallas Indie Festival at White Rock Lake. If you're in the neighborhood, come say "Hey."

I wish I could go. That is the day I'm getting out of the hospital.

Had dinner here last weekend. Was really good! I will be coming home from Disney World on the 21st so can't make this meetup either. :(

I've wanted to go to this since it reopened after they made major construction changes. Look forward to it.

I'm surprised by the level of growth I've seen since becoming an organizer, it's given me more confidence in my abilities.
