Do you know the difference between "a cappella" and Acapulco? Did you feel "Glee" when Pentatonix won "The Sing Off" or enjoyed "Pitch Perfect"? A Cappella singing has become a prominent genre on the music scene, garnering significant network time with shows such as "Glee" and "The Sing Off" and even hit the big screen with "Pitch Perfect".
The Goodtimes Chorus has been performing a cappella music for over 50 years. If you enjoy those shows or have heard of our local champions from Arlington called Pentatonix and would like to join in the experience, consider stopping by the Band Hall in the UTA Fine Arts building on a Tuesday evening and see what it's all about.
Our rehearsals begin at 7:00 and we are always delighted to have visitors. Our repertoire includes selections from the turn of the century (20th) through the Sinatra years, Beach Boys, Beatles, DooWop, Broadway, Patriotic songs, Gospel and even some original arrangements of other popular songs.
We are a non profit charitable organization, dedicated to spreading the joy of the harmonies found in a cappella singing, having fun and serving the community. We are a chapter of the Barbershop Harmony Society. Visit our website at GoodtimesChorus.org or send us a note at Goodtimes_Meetup@gmail.com.
