Code Smash

Hack night at Arlington Ruby. It's all about the code.

Bring in your projects and lets hack on them. Open source projects, great! Run into a problem at work -- lets figure it out.

We'll have a few projects lined up if you just want to come in and help out.

Ugh, flu-like symptoms... I swear I was immunized. Better to not bring bugs to a code smash.

hi all, I'm new to this group and looking forward to coming to the meeting this evening. I'm learning ruby on rails and hope to meet someone who can show me some steps to learn this framework.

Hi all, I'm looking to completely rebuild an old proprietary shopping cart that I wrote in PHP originally. I'm a beginner level developer. Would anyone help suggest how to architect it properly?

    Bring your code with you!

The goal is to have the group drive the projects. If you are working on something and need a hand, bring it. If you want to start a new project, bring it. If want to tinker with a side project on your own, bring it!

But with that said, if you are still not sure what to work on, we'll have a few things ready. The default project will be our IRC Bot, so folks should clone-n-bundle that repo (just in case internet is a problem). The repo and a quick guide on how to setup the project:

Hi! I am new to Ruby too, maybe we can start a new project together as a learning tool? A chat room or something like that could be nice :-)

      I'll join in on Radiant/Dataset.

I'd like to join Radiant. BTW I tried to sign up on issue triage but I got redirected to "... /?error=redirect_uri_mismatch". If I try to sign in I get a default "We're sorry, but something went wrong" page.
