"Some days I am not sure if my faith is riddled with doubt
or whether, graciously, my doubt is riddled with faith.”
- Lauren Winner, Still: Notes on a Mid-Faith Crisis
We've all been there. Does God exist? Am I alone? What is the point of all of this? Why does no one talk about this? Other people seem so certain, don't they have questions? What do you do when “the assumptions and habits that sustained you in your faith in earlier years no longer seem to hold you?”
Come join in a conversation about doubt. Ask the questions you've been afraid to ask. We may not find answers, but together we can share in the struggle.
If you've never been to church or haven't gone since you were a kid, this is for you. If you go to church twice a year, once a month, or every week, this is for you. All are welcome.
We'll use selections from Lauren Winner's newest book, Still, as a starting point, but if you haven't read it, don't worry. Add your voice, bring your questions.
We'll meet at 6:30 pm to order food and introduce ourselves. Come whenever you're able.
