Yes. Even though I reached a pretty good non-native level of fluency 13 years ago and even though I can still read Chinese, I've again become very shy about speaking it. I don't maintain my skills. I don't have any Chinese-speaking friends or colleagues. I could probably speak well again if I loosened up a bit and got some practice.
I've been to China twice. Once in 1994 and once in 2004. I lived in Taiwan for 2 years from 1996 to 1998.
I don't have one. Maybe somebody could suggest something. I get discouraged because trying to watch tv shows in Chinese feels like work, not fun.
Well, I'm simply unavailable to meet many evenings and most weekends, but I'm happy meeting evenings or weekends if I'm free.
I like tennis, writing, gardening, and cooking.
