China Program Intern
The China Program Intern will provide support to the China Program Officer in administrative and programmatic tasks. The intern will also provide assistance in other areas where his/her technical skills or expertise are needed. The internship is an excellent opportunity to learn about international development, grant management and civil society organizations in western China while utilizing Chinese language skills. This is a part-time internship for approximately 15 - 20 hours a week.
PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Prepare summaries of reports in both English and Chinese.
Ensure effective adherence to internal procedures.
Assist in arranging meetings and planning travel itinerary for China Program staff.
Translate documents and office/clerical duties as needed.
Other activities as assigned
Education: Bachelor’s degree
Work experience: experience in non-profit sector
Skills: Good writing skills and computer proficiency, MS Office. Desire to have a career in international development field a plus.
Current graduate students pursuing degrees in economics, international relations, international development, political science, journalism or area studies are encouraged to apply.
Other: English language fluency and Chinese reading ability required.
