The Georgetown Christmas Market is an outdoor European marketplace with handcrafted gifts in addition to Georgetown's charming shops that are open year-round. Unique shops showcase Christmas ornaments and decorations, Victorian items for the home, art, Colorado wine, rare books, jewelry, clothing, antiques, and gifts.
The Market will also feature food vendors so we’ll be able to have lunch as we wander the outdoor market. Wassail (mulled cider, a warm holiday beverage originally from the south of England), and Glogg (Mulled wine was popular in Victorian England at Christmas) will also be available. This is the final weekend of the Georgetown Christmas Market!
On the program for December 8th are choral performances, a Santa Lucia Children's Procession, and a performance by the Welsh Society Dancers & Singers.
Admission is free. You’ll need money (I imagine cash) for anything you eat/drink, shopping money if you plan on buying something, and a few dollars to contribute to the driver you ride with.
We’ll carpool from the Park n Ride, which is located just south of Simms and 6th St. I have a white VW golf and will try to park in a spot that is adjacent to 2nd Place. Depending on the group size, we may need a few drivers. Please remember to give your driver a few $ for gas money. We’ll be leaving the Park n Ride at 10:00am, which means you need to be there before that! We will return to the Park n Ride by 5:00pm at the latest, so you’ll be free to plan other evening activities.
