Taste of Arlington benefits thousands of kids in our community; kids who need fun, educational arts programs and a safe place to stay after school; kids who need positive role models and a chance to learn and try new things; kids who look forward to meeting new friends at summer camp – whether it’s camp at the YMCA or Theater Arlington. You will be helping at-risk kids who otherwise could not experience any of these opportunities.
The evening includes a silent auction, a live auction, live music, entertainment and sponsor displays – all surrounded by Arlington’s distinctive, unique restaurants for all-you-can-eat sampling.
Theater Arlington grants scholarships for its children’s theater school, provides outreach life skills classes for at-risk fourth graders at Crow and Thornton Elementary Schools and runs a summer theater camp for homeless and transient children.
The YMCA of Arlington provides programs for over 17,000 youth in our community, giving them the chance to learn and try new things and make new friends. Financial assistance is available through all programs, but After School is their largest recipient with 25% receiving scholarships. Whether it’s camp at the YMCA or Theater Arlington – you’ll be helping kids who couldn’t experience any of these opportunities without your help.
