Red, White & Blue Parade (Arlington)

Everyone loves a parade! Wear your Red, White & Blue and join us in downtown Arlington for the annual Arlington
4th of July Parade which starts at 9:00. Look at the
parade route online. We've done this for several years and it's great fun for kids and adults. Dogs on leashes welcome too! Bring your stadium chair, cold water, a hat, camera, and sunscreen. We like to watch the parade in from a specific spot b/c it's got some shade. We will be on the East side of Center Street facing the back side of the Levitt Stage. That's the 200 block, between Abram and South btw. When/Where to find us:
8:15ish - Drop off chairs/coolers on Center St to hold our spot
8:20ish - Coffee Haus for ice coffee and pastries (or other yummy choices)
9:00ish - Watch parade with great friends (our spot is about halfway through parade route)
11:30ish - Lunch at J Gilligans or Fuzzy's Tacos (cold beer and great A/C at both) All of these are walking distance from each other! Quick reminder: several roads will be closed for the parade. Also, several are one-way, SO PLAN AHEAD for getting there on time and finding the group! Try parking at the church just South of Levitt or in the lots on the North side of Abram so you're close to the parade, Coffee Haus, J Gilligan's and Fuzzy's!
Coffee Haus Downtown is on Mesquite between Abram and South
J Gilligan's is on Abram, three blocks East of the parade
Fuzzy's Taco is on Abram, four blocks East of the parade Event is weather-dependant of course!

What GREAT weather for a parade! The clouds and the breeze were great! Thoroughly enjoyed the company, the coffee, and lunch at Fuzzy's. Had a great time!

It's all or nothing - no lunch if the parade is rained out. Choice of restaurant is up to those who show up!!

I got to find something to get me out of the house. I'm beginning to feel like a hermit.

The weather isn't looking good for tomorrow. If it is raining when I get up, then I will not go to the parade. Will we still do lunch?

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
