Inspirations Book Club: Love Languages

Our monthly book club event is back! This year we're focusing on Inspirations - people, places, ideas and events that inspire us.

THE FIVE LOVE LANGUAGES
To start the series, we're discussing The Five Love Languages by Gary Chapman. Knowing how folks around you 'speak' can inspire you to acknowledge and give in the language they understand best. It's a great way to build better relationships. The most important tip I ever got from his books is this: People GIVE what they want to GET.

READ THE BOOK
He has a whole series of books on the topic. You'll find them in every bookstore and online. I'm re-reading the Singles Edition, but you can read any one of these for this month's discussion:
*The 5 Love Languages
*The 5 Love Languages: Singles Edition
*The 5 Love Languages: Men's Edition
*The 5 Love Languages: Military Edition
*The 5 Love Languages of Children
*The 5 Love Languages of Teenagers

TAKE THE QUIZ
Be sure to take the quiz in your book and learn which language(s) you speak!
* Words of Affirmation
* Acts of Service
* Receiving Gifts
* Quality Time
* Physical Touch

DINNER
At this North Arlington location, you can order dinner in line, then come join us at the table for dinner and discussion. Look for my big red Meetup bag!

    I am a "maybe" now. I had to have an old root canal redone today and not sure whether I will need to take the stronger pain meds this evening. If I am not there I am in "la la" land from the effects of the hydrocodone. I enjoyed the book. I am a Quality Time followed closely by Acts of Service.

    Hey, I was really looking forward to meeting everyone for the first time and discussing the book, but a 12 degree wind chill is not something that I should be out in right now with a cold.
    My languages are "quality time" and "acts of service" which is a good thing because the way my significant other likes to express love is with acts of service. Sitting in front of the television does not count as quality time, so he gets a bad score on that one!

    How's the book reading coming along ladies? Even if you don't finish the whole book, be SURE to take the quiz and find out your own Love Language. It's critical to be able to discuss with the group! ;-)

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.

Henry, started Reno Motorcycle Riders
