FREE Outdoor Concert: Ray Wylie Hubbard (Levitt Pavilion)

FREE admission! Family-friendly event. Levitt offers open lawn seating on your lawn chairs and blankets. Picnics, snacks and coolers with beverages are allowed, including beer and wine, but no glass containers. Grab some dinner and join us! We typically sit somewhere near the Sound Booth if we can. Come early if you want to be able to sit with the group (popular band, fills up fast) and visit before the music starts at 8:00.

There is plenty of FREE parking in the area – mostly to the East and South of the pavilion. Be aware, there are plenty of one-way streets in the downtown area.

If you’re looking for a quick dinner spot nearby, check out Jack in the Box, McDonalds, Wendy’s, Twisted Root and Fuzzy’s Tacos on Abrams. Potager Café is also nearby on Mesquite. Some concessions are also available at the pavilion, including burgers from J Gilligans.

Located in Founders Plaza, 100 W. Abram St., at the corner of Abram and Center streets, directly across the street from City Hall. Bathrooms are available here also.

Legendary Texas troubadour and master storyteller.

Well since its outdoors, of course it’s weather dependant. For weather updates, call the 24-hour information line at 817.543.4301.

Great concert and price was right! Thanks, Dawn, for setting this up.

Concert was fabulous, weather was perfect, enjoyed Terry, Dave and Richard's company. Got there an EXTRA hour early and only four members ever checked in. Very frustrating to have 17 no-shows. ;-(

Doesn't look like I will make this one unless I make a full recovery in the next 10 minutes

Levitt was very popular last night and we ended up sitting in a new spot. Same thing may happen tonight, so please look for the balloon tied to my orange chair to find our group in the crowd! For most outdoor concerts I do this to make our group easier to find. Once the concert starts, I usually push it under the chair so it's not a distraction to everyone else though! See you tonight! ~dawn

Saturday marks the return of Texas legend, Ray Wylie Hubbard. Ray Wylie is a rock and roll bluesy poet known for penning one of country music’s most popular bar anthems, Up Against the Wall Redneck Mother. Charlie Shafter opens the show at 4:30 p.m., followed by Maren Morris and John David Kent.
