A cooperative grocery store created and owned by the vibrant community it serves--This is the Arroyo Food Co-op, an alternative grocery store that will serve L.A.'s northeast: Altadena, Pasadena and beyond.
A LOCAL RESPONSE TO GLOBAL CHALLENGES
Combining the regional flavors of a farmer's market, the warmth of an old-fashioned corner store and the convenience of a supermarket. YOU have a voice here, and a place to join together with other, like-minded neighbors to envision, build and shop at the market you want.
Once harnessed, we know the abundant energy within our community will offer endless possibilities for our co-op's resources. Along with an impressive array of fresh groceries, we envision having a deli, bakery, coffee/juice bar, and community room. Future plans include a brew pub, cafe, farm and rental kitchen.
Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful,
committed citizens can change the world.
Indeed, it is the only thing that ever has.
