Día de los Muertos-- Day of the Dead Celebration

The public is invited to join in the fun & informative 2 days. Artists are invited to exhibit and/or sell their work on November 1 & 2 (portion of sales going to Hospice.) Art does NOT have to be Day of the Dead, however, encouraged. For more information: http://martinmortuary.wordpress.com/day-of-the-dead/

I think it would be incredible to have an art show dedicated to the day if the dead. Not the dark show, sort of a Mexicana de arte. To be displayed first week if November

It is the reverence the family has for those who have died. Festive food is prepared, family gather, they all believe that the person who has passed is present in their lives during the celebration. We don't have anything like it in America, do we? Never heard of sin eaters. Sounds like it might give one indigestion. I'm a weaver but haven't done anything I want to show yet. Each piece takes me a long time. Thanks for asking and hope this answers your questions.

Hi Margaret - Why is this your favorite holiday? I have been goggling about this to start a painting for next year and that search has led me off in all directions including reading about sin eaters. Just curious about your take on this holiday. Also wondering if you are going to have something at the art show at Martin's.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
