Eat your Yard: Edible Landscaping Workshop

Eat your Yard: Edible Landscaping Workshop

Tia Silvasy, organic gardener and permaculturalist will lead this class focusing on growing food, instead of grass, which is a wonderful way to feed you and your family. You will explore the types of plants brought to Hawaii by the many ethnic groups that call Hawaii home, learn how to grow these plants and design a garden or container space for your specific site.

Plants such as cassava, banana, taro, sweet potato, lemon grass, sugar cane, coconut to name just a few will be covered. Cuttings and starts will also be shared.
