What is the meaning of art? How do you interpret the meaning and intention of someone else's artwork?
At our previous gathering in March, discussions centered around how and when artwork is produced and when is too much, too much? At the conclusion our dear friend, Ari, reminded us that a lot of our conversation kept coming back to MEANING and suggested in April we discuss an artist's desire to have meaning in their work and the viewer/art critics desire to interpret a meaning into one's work.
Really??? Is there always meaning in work? Should it/ does it always need to be analyzed for it's meaning? Or is work a natural response to exterior elements such as the light at the moment?
We invite you to come to Art Salon For Fertile Minds to inspire and be inspired
We are inspired by the following quote:
"In everyone's life, at some time, our inner fire goes out. It is then burst into flame by an encounter with another human being. We should all be thankful for those people who rekindle the inner spirit. - Albert Schweitzer
