A hands on lesson and demonstration.
Students and/or parents will be introduced to fundamental programming concepts using Scratch, a visual programming language developed at MIT. Students can use this program to create their own games, animations, and various interactive projects using block-like puzzle pieces containing code that they can then upload and share with the MIT Scratch community. Computational concepts such as sequences, loops, conditionals, variables, operators, x/y axis, testing and debugging are covered. No previous programming experience necessary. Ages 7 and up.
*Requirements- must bring own laptop (not tablet or iPad). Wi-Fi access granted.

$5 for first class. This is the first of an 8-week course that is $120.
