Creating and Crafting is a group committed to the passionate and curious exploration of a wide range of art forms. We will host workshops, educational nights and social gatherings for people interested in practising their art skills as well as learning about crafting, drawing, painting, body art, design, and many other art mediums. This group is led by Katia Somerville, a longtime visual artist, body painter and owner of Rainfire Tattoo Studio on Commercial Drive. Creating and Crafting will cover themes ranging from body painting workshops to drawing lessons, guest speakers, and many other hands-on art project meet-ups. In 2013 Katia hopes to get people together to provide a creative setting for them to work on personal projects that are just sitting around your house waiting to be worked on.
