We're bringing Dan Burkholder back for a repeat of last year's amazing workshop. This is an incredible opportunity, not just because Dan Burkholder is a consummate speaker, educator and creator of amazing art (which he will display), but because your iPhone is probably your least used piece of very powerful camera gear you have.
Dan will be attending the Mobile-O-graphy exhibit reception on the 21st 6-8PM. A great chance to meet Dan in an informal setting.
This time we have convinced Dan to tailor his agenda into three separate sessions so folks just starting can get an introduction for a minimal investment, and those that are already using their iPhone for photography don't have to sit through the basics. You can register for one, two or all three. Enroll in an Individual session for $49 or all three for $125. RSVP here to attend all three sessions, click on the session title below to RSVP for one or two modules.
We'll be taking Dan out for dinner on Saturday Night so plan to join us if you can. If you need to find a place to stay let us know. We can try and place out of towners with local club members if you need to keep your expenses down. DON'T DELAY MAKING ACCOMMODATIONS! This is the beginning of foliage season!
Lurking inside the iPhone is one of the most inspiring, capable and fun imaging systems in all of photography. More than just a snapshot device, the iPhone is a powerful creative tool for creating art, right in our palms. We now have camera, darkroom, and—as Jerry Uelsmann would say— Visual Research Laboratory, all in our shirt pocket! Liberated from rushing home to our computers, we can shoot and process our images in the field, learning what works (and doesn’t) to make our captures match our vision. And when it comes to printing your iPhone images, you’ll fall in love with the color, depth and texture in your prints, whether you print your iPhone images as archival inkjet prints or make digital negatives to create handmade prints in the classic chemical darkroom.
Dan Burkholderhas a long history of looking over the photographic horizon to see, explore and teach the next great thing in imaging. With an emphasis on crafting images with soul and intrigue, Dan keeps no secrets. This is your opportunity to discover the power, fun, and stunning output that’s possible from your iPhone!
This session is designed for those that don't really know, but want to find out, what their iPhone can do. Or maybe you want to learn the capabilities so you can decide if you want to buy one. This session should get inspired to take your phone from your ear and start using it to capture your vision.
