The Mattress Factory is a museum of contemporary art that presents art you can get into — room-sized environments, created by in-residence artists. Located in the historic Mexican War Streets of Pittsburgh’s North Side since 1977, the Mattress Factory is one of few museums of its kind anywhere.

Cross 6th Street Bridge
Sixth Street becomes Federal Street
Continue around Allegheny Center
Turn right onto Federal Street
Turn Left onto Jacksonia Street
Turn left into parking lot at 505 Jacksonia Street
From Airport
Take 279 North to Pittsburgh
Stay in far left lane coming out of tunnel
Cross Fort Duquesne Bridge
Stay in left lane following North Side/North Shore signs
Take North Shore exit
At bottom of ramp (Heinz Field will be at your left) merge into right lane
At the traffic light turn right onto East Allegheny
At the third light turn right onto North Avenue
At the Fifth light turn left onto Federal Street
Turn left onto Jacksonia Street
Turn left into parking lot at 505 Jacksonia Street
