Free Concert & Dance Performance at Pittsburgh Opera in the Strip

This free one-hour concert features Pittsburgh Opera's Resident Artists who are expected to perform classics related to love and romance in anticipation of Valentine's Day.

And as a special bonus, this concert will also provide a sneak peak of Attack Theatre's stunning world premiere dance show "Soap Opera" featuring Pittsburgh Opera Resident Artist Nicole Rodin.

In addition, there will be a little pre-show and post-show reception with complimentary coffee/tea/cookies/treats while guests enjoy great music and contemporary dance.

This concert is presented as part of Pittsburgh Opera's monthly free Brown Bag series at their historic Strip district location which was once the original Westinghouse air brake factory built in 1869. Remarkably, the historic renovation has also garnered Pittsburgh Opera international acclaim as the building was recently awarded Silver-level LEED certification related to green buildings.

The free monthly Brown Bag series has become extremely popular for people of all ages to enjoy intimate concerts based of some of opera's most popular arias as well as a mix of Broadway, musical theater and other surprises. For those planning to shop and/or dine in the Strip, the free monthly Brown Bag operas provide a wonderful little getaway break and taste of Pittsburgh's vibrant cultural scene.

These free Brown Bag concerts are also a wonderful opportunity for an informal introduction to opera. Guests can even meet the performers after the show! No reservations are required.
