I'd like to be invited to your next meeting. There are improvements that can be made, but a discussion is the best way of bringing them up.

      Hi there,

Can you send your concerns directly to me at [masked]? I am aware there was a bit of confusion with the VIP ticket stating Byham Theater and some other things, so I'd like to address them directly.

For those of you who attended, please respond with any feedback that you think we (the Cultural Trust) should keep in mind for next year. Thank you! Jenn

The forecast is sunny for Friday night, and we're expecting a big crowd for the Gallery Crawl and Cosmopolitan Pittsburgh. It will be an exciting night in the Cultural District!

For those that will be driving into town, here is a website and phone app which shows in real-time the availability of downtown parking garages.
http://parkpgh.org/ I suggest you plan to arrive early so you can enjoy more of the Gallery Crawl before Cosmopolitan Pittsburgh. If you haven't bought your advance ticket yet, please do this by Thursday July 11 so you'll save money versus paying at the door. You can buy in advance with the discount code ORBIT (see above for details).

Consider arriving early to check out the other fantastic Gallery Crawl stops! Here is the complete schedule and map of activities from 5:30-9 PM for the Gallery Crawl which features 27 locations
      http://trustarts.cult...

As you walk downtown, you will clearly see Red signs in front of Gallery Crawl locations. So you can pop in or spend a bit more time at each stop depending on your interests. Here is one suggestion:
6-6:30 Wood Street & SPACE Galleries
6:30-7 Shaw Gallery & Harris Theater
7-7:45 Arcade Comedy & August Wilson Center
      7:45-8:30 GPAC & 707/709 Penn Gallery & Night Market (8th & Penn)
8:30-8:55 Katz Plaza (live band) or Renaissance Hotel (cooking demonstration) or Verve (kNOT Dance show)
8:55-9 PM walk to Byham Theater for Cosmopolitan Pittsburgh

Just joined. This sounded like a great event. Looking forward to meeting up at the next event.

There are 100+ RSVP from Meetup groups and while we can never be sure of no shows, there should be a good turnout from Meetup. However, Cosmo will include hundreds of other people that are not in any Meetups.

If we haven't met before, I'll be wearing a solid purple polo shirt with black pants. Please feel free to introduce yourself, and I'll try to introduce you to others in Meetup groups.

I suggest you arrive as early as possible so you can check out the many Gallery Crawl locations before Cosmopolitan Pittsburgh.
I'll be at the VIP beginning at 7 PM but will also be checking out various Gallery Crawl locations.

I would chime in with Mark and either suggest some place like Katz Plaza or the Backstage Bar. I wouldn't suggest gathering at the Byham unless you do so under the marquee area. It's going to get pretty crowded with the line! It will be pretty busy down in the Cultural District this Friday, so if you have already purchased your ticket(s), make sure you keep an eye on your email as we will be sending out some pertinent details concerning parking, etc. Anyone who has purchased VIP tickets will find out the secret VIP party location on Friday when you check in to pick up your passport (at the Box Office at Theater Square). You can do the crawl beforehand and collect your stamps or just join us directly at 7pm. If anyone has any further questions about Cosmo, I'm happy to help!

Hope to see you all on Friday!

      Where is Theater Square?

      July 11, 2013

    • Jenn

Theater Square Box Office is at 655 Penn Avenue. It is in the same complex as Meat & Potatoes, the parking garage, Cabaret and Katz Plaza. The complex is located diagonally from the Benedum Center.

    Hi folks!

Today is the last day to purchase your tickets at the discounted rate. Tomorrow, they will go up to $75 for General Admission and $125 for VIP.

If you've never been to Cosmo, it's a great evening of food, cocktails dancing and other activities. Coupled with the preceeding Gallery Crawl, you'll have the opportunity to experience a wide-range of what the Trust does throughout the year.

    Hope to see you there!

Hope everyone is looking forward to Cosmopolitan Pittsburgh on Friday. If you haven't bought your advance ticket yet, you'll save money versus paying at the door. You can buy in advance with the discount code ORBIT (see above for details).

Before Cosmopolitan Pittsburgh, Meetups could gather at Gallery Crawl locations such as Katz Plaza (at corner 7th and Penn) with live music, free icy treats, photo opportunity, and other activities.

Once at Katz Plaza from 8:30-8:55 PM, Meetups could walk over together to Cosmo. Consider arriving early to check out the other fantastic Gallery Crawl stops! Here is the complete schedule and map of activities from 5:30-9 PM

Will the people with the group meet in a certain spot or are we all be.on our own once we get there? Since I am attending alone as a single looking to meet new :people, it would be nice to meet as a group once we arrive. Not only that, but I have never attended this function and some of you are working there. Your general assistance to the group would, I am sure, would be greatly appreciated.

I will be working at the event as a volunteer. See you there!

Mark, the event description contains a mistake. It claims the "general admission" is both $50 ($45+$5) and ($75). The $50 amount is the correct one, according to the website.
Oops - 2nd error: the VIP ticket is normally $90, so I assume we'd pay $85.

    July 3, 2013

    • Jenn

      Hi Joe,

I work for the Trust and can explain the pricing!

A general admission ticket ($50) is $45 with the discount code, but will go up to $75 on the day of the event. A VIP ticket ($95) is $90 with the discount code, but will go up to $125 on the day of.

Promo codes will not apply on July 12.

      Hope that helps! Jenn

Oh, OK - that makes sense now.

      July 3, 2013

  • Mark

The Meetup discount code is now set up so everyone can buy tickets in advance and save money versus paying at the door. I've also updated the event description (see above). Hope you'll be able to join us! And of course, feel free to update your RSVP if you decide to bring some friends!
