This Pittsburgh Opera has a final performance of Aida on 2 PM on Sunday.

THE GRANDEST OF ALL GRAND OPERAS RETURNS -- "Aida" by Verdi

Enslaved in Egypt, the Ethiopian princess Aida is torn between love for her country and love for the Egyptian general Radames. Against the backdrop of their warring nations, the lovers try to defy the odds, but their fates are sealed. Music Director Antony Walker conducts an all-star cast, featuring three recent Metropolitan Opera standouts in the starring roles.

UNDERSTAND EVERY WORD! Sung in Italian with English texts projected above the stage.

This grand production has incredible music along with an amazing set and costumes -- and also includes horses, hawk, python, greyhound dogs and more than 100 people onstage. In Sunday's performance, Penguin great Phil Bourke makes a special appearance on stage in costume as the Egyptian 'Champion of Champions' returning successfully from battle.

The show also includes a pre-show discussion (with colorful study guide) at 1 PM prior to the 2 PM performance.
