Revel with a Cause

As a gifted singer-songwriter that plays both guitar and piano, Emily Forst's first album "Here We Go" was recorded at the world famous Avatar Studios. Her sultry-soul voice, music, and original lyrics have received international acclaim. Emily's music is a mix of rock/pop which deal with relationships, overcoming adversity, growing up and finding one's place in the world, etc.

Emily is getting lots of press and some airplay in other cities as well as Pandora Internet Radio, and also recently completed her first European tour. Here is her website where you can check out her music. http://www.emilyforst.com Emily is working on her second album now, and we'll be among the first to hear some of the new songs.

At 'Revel for a Cause' there will also be Mardi Gras inspired cuisine & cocktails -- as well as beer/wine and other specials along with complimentary cheese/crackers, veggies/fruit, lite bites. This would be a good event to meet many other members of the Meetup group.

This show is free or pay-what-you-can for anyone that would also like to support the wonderful non-profit, Homeless Children's Education Fund (HCEF) which partners with 25 local shelters and homeless housing agencies providing everything from school gear, literacy programs, afterschool activities, summer camps, science and arts workshops, and other educational enrichment programs to help bridge the gaps for homeless children and their families. Did you know there are nearly 1,700 homeless children in Allegheny County alone? To learn more about the remarkable work being done by the Homeless Children's Education Fund (HCEF), please visit http://homelessfund.org

Please note that while Little E's is a jazz club, they are also open to other music genres ... and Little E's intimate atmosphere with hardwood floors, restored brick walls, and beautiful art work provides a well-suited environment for acoustic rock and other performers.

It's not often we have a chance to check out a unique talent on the verge of making it really big. To see someone before they are on TV or land a national record deal. And with a deep commitment to the community.

Don't miss this unique way to celebrate and appreciate Fat Tuesday!

Mark, I'll try to make this, but work might interfere. I'll update my RSVP the afternoon of the event.
