Dinner & Play "The School for Lies" ... a holiday show with $25 ticket discount

PICT's Holiday Comedy for 2012!

Mark your calendars for Pittsburgh Irish & Classical Theatre's (PICT) holiday production "The School for Lies" by David Ives which runs from November 29-December 15 inside The Charity Randall Theatre in the Stephen Foster Memorial in Oakland.

"The School for Lies" is set in 17th century France (as a freewheeling rewrite/tribute of Molière's "The Misanthrope") and tells the story of a disillusioned curmudgeon named Frank who has resolved to tell the truth to everyone he meets, no matter how disconcerting or offensive they may find it - that is, until he might have a chance for love.

This being a comedy, however, Frank is diverted from his highminded path by his love for the beautiful Celimene, a bored aristocrat with an equally sharp tongue. The play’s virtuosic use of language turns their verbal duel into theatrical fireworks of the highest order. This is one holiday production you don't want to miss.

And PICT is generously offering Meetup members discounted tickets of only $25/each -- which is nearly half-off the normal price of $48/each.

To make your reservation and order tickets, please contact Michelle Belan, PICT Marketing Director at [masked]

If you're planning on dinner at The Porch before the play "The School for Lies" please try to arrive at 6:15-6:30 PM or so you can order dinner as well as introduce yourself to Michelle Belan (PICT Marketing Director) who graciously arranged the nice Meetup ticket discount. I'll try to be there by 7 PM. I think everyone will really enjoy the play.
