Founded by Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, the Art of Living runs programs and workshops around the world that use a revolutionary breathing technique, the Sudarshan Kriya®, which is traditionally understood to use specific rhythms of the breath to eliminate stress, support the various organs and systems within the body, transform overpowering emotions and restore peace of mind...

The Art of Living Canada (I and I Art of Living Foundation) is a charitable organization recognized by the Government of Canada. It cooperates with the International Art of Living Foundation (referred to as "Art of Living Foundation"), which offers their programs in more than 140 countries and which is accredited at the United Nations as an international NGO (non-governmental organization).

The Foundation works in special consultative status with the Economic and Social Council of the United Nations, participating in a variety of committees and activities relating to health, education, sustainable development and conflict resolution. As such it takes part in conferences of the U.N. and has an official consultative status to the WHO (World Health Organization) especially for a global policy of health in the 21st century.
