Are you willing to be part of a group where we watch out for each other? Some people are tempted to go off on their own but this is not acceptable because we've wasted time waiting or searching for them. A clear photo of yourself is required.

As long as I don't need to run away from security/police, I'm game.

Can you remain calm in a dark abandoned building? Are you fit enough to run with the group and walk along uneven surfaces if the terrain requires it? If not, you shouldn't join this group.

I'm fascinated by the little bits of early 20th century industry that remains (and their offshoots). Whenever I see a carnegie library I slam on the brakes (or get off the bus) and start shooting.

Are you willing to sign a liability release waiver? Not that we do risky meetups but because the areas require alertness and caution. Yes or No.

Most of my shooting seems to be done with a tripod at night.

For new members you must upload 2-5 of your recent photos to the current Members' Photo Album. A visual introduction. You have 8 days to do it or your membership is cancelled. See Discussions tab in menu for directions.

The shipyards are always fun, so are some of the abandoned weapons sites around the bay area. I try to get onto rooftops whenever I can.

A meetup consist of a field shoot and "social" where we relax at an eatery to show a few of our recent photos. Not a critique but to learn from each others efforts and get in the practice of talking "photography". Comment?

I might be up for the challenge.

Every time I pick up my camera, whatever it is I mean to take a picture of isn't what I actually shoot. I always end up finding interesting bits of worn down buildings, graffiti, or just awesome but still functional old industrial remnants.
