Nice shot. Would be interested in hearing your technique both shoot and post-shoot. Is this what you pre-visualized in post-shoot?

Hi Digne. I was honestly about to walk away from this spot but then looked twice at the light reflections from the window. I shot this with a fisheye and then applied the lens profile in LR4. I really was looking to capture the leading lines here and got myself as close to the wall as I could. In PP, I used LR4 to reduce the highlights and darken the blues (that's how you see any color in the sky, otherwise it was pretty blown out), and added some clarity.

Wow, very impressed with the dynamic range here. Didn't know you could achieve this just by darkening blues. I must try this when I get home to LR.

Wook - I also shot underexposed to reduce the extent to which the sky was blown out. This was ok because I cared more about capturing the light reflections and the textures. So, I lightened the shadows in PP.

Well the lighting is beautiful. This dynamic range problem is one I struggle with a lot. I think I took a bracketed shots to allow me to play around in post so I will be trying out your tips. Thanks

Thanks, Wook. It's always worth playing with. As much as possible I tend to shoot underexposed for that reason. Sometimes it doesn't work out well in PP because there's only so much shadow lightening you can do without the noise really showing up in the darks. So, I also shoot with as low of an ISO as I can, and a tripod.
