After chatting with creative mothers new and experienced it became apparent how challenging it is to carve out and navigate personal time. Between the demands of spouses, children, and households there is little time and energy left for channeling creative energy and developing our careers.

This group is for artists (mother's in particular as well as those interested in supporting mothers), craftswomen, creators and producers- from basket weaving to filmmaking, sculpture to graphic design- who find themselves consumed by their familial responsibilities real or self induced at the expense of their creative longings.

This group is designed to offer support and facilitate production and the advancement of creative careers. We will do so by-
1. Forming sub-groups for support and encouragement.
2. Pooling resources such as childcare, space.
3. Producing group shows.
4. Conducting workshops hosted by members and those outside of the group.
5. Sharing ideas and techniques for balancing life and living.
6. Sharing information on arts resources.
7. Making sure we have fodder for our work by sharing and discussing books, articles etc. of interest.
