This group is dedicated to providing those of any age, from all walks of life with the tools and right mind to realize the multitude of benefits to be gained from living an artful life. Let's face it; ART IS THERAPY! And who doesn't need a little therapy in this day and age? But you can't draw a staight line you say??? You don't even need to ----what's so spectacular about straight lines anyway? Coming from a very small town, I was not introduced to a whole lot in the way of creativity, or artful outlets. As I struggled to find my place in life, I finally came across a form of art called MIXED-MEDIA. This looked fascinating and perhaps like something I might be able to do....pasting ripped pieces of paper on canvas and slopping some paint here and there. So...I began an artistic journey that has only taken me deeper and deeper into a love of life and a joy in living it and sharing it with others.

This group is about opening your mind, finding yourself, and learing to give yourself what you need to nurture your true growth as a human being. And...the main ingredient? Loads and loads of FUN!!! Laughter is great medicine for the heart and playing like a little kid is so enriching for the soul. We will be doing plenty of both!

What to expect? First, there will be plenty of free meetups where we'll just bring our own projects, hang out and have a good time together. We can network, share art and stories, whatever. Then, we'll have meetups that are demos...I and other members will demonstrate several different techniques/projects relating to mixed-media artwork, artful journaling, collaging, painting faces, and adding writing, stamping and various other techniques to our projects. There will also be demos geared towards various jewelry making techniquies. Then, based on the amount of interest in certain projects/ techniques, workshop classes will be offered for a fee. Finally, there will most likely be a lot of 'Make & Takes.' This is where we'll plan a certain project, you'll pay a fee for that project and then come to class, make it and take it home that day! Supplies and kits will often be provided and included in the fee.

I am also always open to teaching classes to various groups such as those residing at assisted living facilities, youth groups, school groups; basically any group of which you can think! Just contact me via email!
