RIGHT TO KNOW GMO FOOD FORUM
Thursday, March 28th at 7-8:30 p.m.
Real Art Ways
56 Arbor Street, #1
I meant to post this sooner, but hopefully some of you can make it.
All consumers have the right to know what is in the food they eat. That is why we are working to pass HB6519 to mandate the labeling of genetically engineered food sold in the state of Connecticut. Whether you've been studying for years or you're just wondering what all the buzz is about, join us at the Right to Know Food Forum on March 28th from 7 to 8:30 p.m.
GMO Foods have been on our local grocery store shelves for over 15 years without our consent or knowledge. The good news is that the Connecticut legislature has the chance to pass HB6519 this spring and give us all our right to know.
Join us on tomorrow night to be part of the debate. The forum will kick off with tables set up by local groups where guest can look at informational demos. The main event will be a panel discussion moderated by Tara Cook-Littman of GMO Free CT featuring Executive Director of the Connecticut Northeast Organic Farmers Association, Executive Chef Chris Eddy of Winvian Restaurant, John Pittari, founder and owner of New Morning Market and Beth Beisel, a registered dietician.
This will be a great opportunity to have all of your questions answered. Looking forward to seeing you there!
