Much Ado About Nothing - 12th Annual Shakespeare on the Shoreline
Meet with us at 5:45 to picnic and enjoy the play...
Starts at 07:30 PM
Performed by: Shakesperience Productions, Inc.
The plot of this Shakespearian comedy is based upon deliberate deceptions, some malevolent and others benign, but all resulting in turmoil. The main story line of the play revolves around obstacles to the union of two young lovers, Claudio and Hero. The play’s equally vivid subplot, the “merry war” of the sexes between Beatrice and Benedick, displays intelligence, humor, understanding, and matching of wits between the two. Bring picnics (no alcohol), blankets, beach chairs and enjoy theatre under the stars as laughter and tears take turns as the play treads a thin line between tragedy and comedy before settling into the comic tradition where all ends happily.
