movie: Forbidden Planet (1956)

This movie is part of Real Art Ways 'science on screen' series. See the description at:

The movie begins at 7pm but I will be there between 6:30pm and 6:45pm. I'll wear my black winter hat so I can be spotted easily.

Wikipedia has a text on it too. Check out: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Forbidden_Planet

I like the way the film incorporates Carl Jung's theories into its story line. Not only for its relationship to science, the film has artistic relevance too. Its musical score was the first composed entirely by electronic means. Further, Robby the Robot was presented with more sophistication than previous robots.

It should be a lot of fun! See a grand movie made in the 50's and its relationship to the science fiction genre today! And Real Art Ways is always a special place to visit.

Hi Danita! The movie costs 10 dollars for non-members. However, students can get in for 7. I am a member of RealArtWays and it costs me 5. I highly recommend membership

for it takes a movie a month, or so, to pay for itself. Plus members can get into the monthly Third Thur party for less. Lastly, its a good organization to support. Ray

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
